Chittagong - Heart of Bangladesh economy and industry, producing 80% of its wealth and is a strategic port on the Bay of Bengal, hosting almost the whole fleet of Bangladesh Navy and An-32 Batuzak Bombers.
Constuction of a pipeline for oil from Chittagong to China is underway, this port would recieve oil from Middle East, and will go to China through India's NE and would save China from worrying about South East Asian nations blockading their oil supply. The most beautiful places on Bangladesh are located around this city...Myanmar is greedy for this region due to the wealth it generates, but they forgot their position on Earth...

Hakaluki/Tanguar Haor

Hakaluki Haor and Tanguar Haor are unique wetland ecosystems of national and international significance in North-Eastern Bangladesh (Mymensingh/Netrokona & Sylhet/Sunamganj area). These Haors cover roughly 10,000 hectares each.

The areas are home to swamp forests, hundreds of species of birds, fish, amphibians, reptiles and mammals - many of which are rare and endangered. The landscape in these haors are painted by three major seasons — summer, monsoon and winter. Every season paints its own beauty on the haors.

These have been declared Ecologically Critical Areas (ECA) in 1999 by the Government of Bangladesh, and “Ramsar Sites”, wetlands of national and international importance, by the Ramsar Bureau in 2000.

The wetlands support freshwater mother fisheries and are known residences for migratory birds. They support the collective livelihoods of almost 80,000 people living in surrounding villages and contribute to national food security.

After sunset, one can have fun too, during the Buddhist festival of Probarona Purnima (known as Sonkran festival in Thailand, Cambodia etc.). The highlight is floating sky lanterns all over the sky.

People of Old Dhaka play fire spitting using kerosene oil on the roof-top of their building on the occasion of Shakrain festival in Dhaka on January 14, 2016. As part of the celebration, kites are flown high from the rooftops around the area in the afternoon. It often takes the form of kite fighting, in which participants try to snag each other's kites or cut other kites down. When night falls, fireworks lit up the sky of old Dhaka. Flame-eaters also gather up on the roofs to entertain everyone with their skills of manipulating fire.
