Nagorno-Karabakh is a landlocked region in the South Caucasus covering the southeastern range of the Lesser Caucasus mountains. Officially still part of Azerbaijan Karabakh is in fact under control of armenian lead authorities who self-proclaimed Karabakh as a independent. A Ceasefire-Agreement has stopped a bloody secession war between Armenia and Azerbaijan in 1994. However armed clashes still continue along the "Line of Contact", while the Karabakh government slowly build an new armenian Nagorny Karabakh.

Armenian Military Portals

I would like to notice that although Azeris have a lot of money to spend they are much vulnerable.. as the Baku oil / gas rings are all within the range of Iskanders from Karabah area. Also the pipe to Tseihan (Turkey ) is well within the range of 152mm from Armenia land.
So they have much to loose and almost nothing to gain , as the Karabah area is nothing but mountains..

Pride, mate, it´s all about national pride... and the grand chessboard Brzezinski wrote about. The families there, or better said clans have been at war since the Middle Ages. Though the conflict as we know it today is Stalin´s work.

Russia making a good business out of it doesn't help either.

Azerbaijan’s defense ministry said Armenia’s “offensive” from its northern Tovuz region was met with a “counterstrike” and retreated. “Two Azerbaijani servicemen were killed and five more wounded,” it added.

Yerevan, on its part, accused Baku of “using artillery in an attack aimed at capturing (Armenian) positions.”
“They were repulsed, suffering losses in manpower. There were no casualties among Armenian servicemen,” Armenia’s defense ministry spokeswoman, Shushan Stepanyan, said in a Facebook post.

People flocked to Freedom Square. We want war!

"People flocked to Freedom Square. We want war!"

Bunch of retards...
Its always the same, the ones shouting expect not to go themselves.
Italians also went to the square in front of Palazzo Venezia in 1940 chanting we want war. Didnt go as planned for them.
History tireslesly has proved that victory in a war is never 100% guaranteed, and that if plan fails, there are no reimboursements or going back to square 1 without the enemy going medieval on your arse.

The latest round of fighting is actually is not that close to disputed Nagorno-karabakh region. New front being opened, perhaps. Also, despite Azerbaijan being heavily backed by Turkey and Israel, I didn't find their performance impressive in 2016, and much worse equipped Armenians are giving Azeris a bloody nose again.
