Matzos, have a look at this website page, dedicated to one of these ME262B-1a's, which were fitted with 4 of these cannons. This is an original one captured and taken to the USA at end of WW2.

http://www.dvhaa.org/me262.htm

This one is in German, but has lots of photos and details. There is an English navigation menu, though.

Hey Matzos, if you need some help with your research just post more requests for info in the HQ research . :)
I wouldny mind helping as Im sure others dont. It might help to improve my web search skills bou;

Thanks mate, here's one request,

I'm after any information on the German Airfield at Wesendolf during WW2

camo; army;

Ill give it a go mate.

I have just done a quick search and came up with diddly squat.

Is it definately wesendolf and not perhaps wessondorf ?

I have just check my prints, :eek: :eek: I got the name wrong! it should be Wesendorf A/F

Sorry about that clwn;

AND, if you do a search as follows: "wesendorf"+"WW2" you'll get quite a few more hits. All the best with your search.

Some more brief info, its in german but appears to be the names of a couple of Luftwaffe officers and the aircraft they flew
http://www.ww2.dk/misc/ob1939.htm

some more brief info about a US army air corps pilot of WW2 who was tasked to bomb the airfield to destroy the runways and Me262's
http://carol_fus.tripod.com/army_ac_hero_murchison.html
its under the sub heading 'Our longest day'

And I fell upon this little gem that might interest you
http://65.160.172.250/medals/m035.html

it is described as Luftwaffe Wesendorf headquarters ID badge

Ill keep looking buddy bou;

Thanks

I have also find the following the Bf 109G-10 could carried either a 20mm MG 151 or a 30mm MK 108 cannon that fired through the propeller hub.

these are on display at RAF Cosford Aerospace museum which just happens to have been one of the Stations that Matzos was stationed at blah,

they were also used in Schrage Muzik installations as well firing upwards on night fighters
