The official museum of Operation Market Garden which took place in September 1944 - the real story of "A Bridge Too Far".
Situated in the village of Oosterbeek to the east of Arnhem, the Airborne Forces museum is located in the former Hotel Hartenstein which was HQ to both the German FM Model and later Maj. Gen Roy Urquhart.
This is a superb collection of original artifacts, photographs, narrative accounts and superb 1:1 dioramas of events during OMG. I have now visited three times and look forward to my next visit.
