Private 2364 Philip Evershed CHAPMAN, 1/ 8th Hampshire Regiment, Territorial Force, formerly Private 2681, Royal Army Medical Corps died on the 5th September 1915 aged 21 in Malta from wounds received at Sulva Bay, Gallipoli. He was the son of Doctor Paul Morgan Chapman and Alice Elizabeth of Beechwood Hereford England. His father was granted a war gratuity on the 27th December 1915 revised 8th August 1919.
