Memory Stick Problem
Can anyone help? I have a SanDisk Cruzer micro 4Gb memory stick which seems to have been corrupted somehow. Everytime I plug it into a USB port, it crashes my PC. I have Vista Home Premium OS, which offers me the choice of 'scanning and repairing' or 'proceed without scanning', when I plug it in. Regardless of what I choose, my PC crashes and has to be re-started. I have quite a lot of stuff on the stick that I would like to try and keep/recover. Cheers in advance.

The stick sounds like it is auto starting and may have a VIRUS on it.
Hold "SHIFT" on your keyboard and insert the memory stick, this should stop it running at first. Then do a full Virus Scan on it. I would get the files you need off it and bin it. hope that helps |
