Technically I suppose this is not a Military Museum, but it does feature H.M.S. Trincomalee, (previously called The Foudroyant), which is the oldest British warship in the world still afloat, completely renovated and rigged in Hartlepool. There are guides dressed in authentic period costume and a complete period quayside with buildings. Quite often, displays are put on, and nearby is the Museum of Hartlepool.
Well worth a visit. One of the top tourist attractions in England, I rate it 10.

Seeing as Rob is helping me to drum up trade and reduce my poll tax bill, have a look at this : www.destinationhartlepool.com/tourism/content/hhquay/index.php

I've been there, when Trincomalee was still in drydock being renovated and can recommend it. It's like stepping back in time to the 1700's. The dock area has even been used as a set for historical TV productions. (Y)
