CRM40 and the way to the Egyptian "Port Police Station"
CRM 40 had succeeded in overcomming the resistance within the Egyptian "Port Police Station and continued its way to the Administartion HQ Building of the Suez Canal Authority to face a severe resistance at the Customs Area as well as at the former building of British Navy HQ , wher now the Egyptin Navy HQ for Port Said is located
Notice the letter "H" which was painted on MOST of the vehicels and Tanks which participated in the Ground Invasion Operation.... to facilitate recognising them for all allied forces (Angl-French-Israeli"
This was the first letter of "HAMILCAR" , the original name of the operation, but the French have found pronounciation problems... the call "Amilcar" and not "Hamilcar".. Therefore, it was decided to change the
name to MUSKETEER ...
The time was insufficient, to repaint the "H" to "M" and it remained as it is.
The Aircraft have had four/three stripes most of them "Yello-Black" and some where "White-Black"
