Hello Guys
Wondering if anybody on here might be able to help me. I'm after any info or picture's of the US Army's Mobile Rocket Artillery used during the later part of WW2. They were based on the 2 1/2 ton GMC trucks, they mounted 2 x 8 racks of Rocket Tubes in the load area on a tubular framed launch ramp. The tubes were the same as used on the Calioppe Rocket system mounted on Sherman tanks.
I've started to build a model of this from a couple of old magazine picture's that I have but I could realy do with some more .
Any help would be great.

Have you tried the aberdeen proving grounds site
http://www.apg.army.mil/apghome/sites/local/
they have a contact on the feedback tab
try them they may be able to help.
The info you have requested is somewhat elusive however pictures are even more so. The unit used the T27 launcher, and given the time frame and its rarity and maybe even a shroud of secrecy around it you may have the only photos. Besides this unit and the tank mounted launchers like T34 only two other Battalions were stood up the 421st which went to the PTO, and the 422nd not sure where it went. They had the T66's. Below is some links of interest.
