Edward "ed" Norrell passed away at 3:00 AM May 22nd.

My friend "fast eddy" was a Pearl Harbor survivor and was very active in veterans affairs. He will be greatly missed.

I have just received the full obit from todays newpaper. Ed will be buried at "Punch Bowl National Cemetary" Hawaii. I once tried to get him to tell me about Pearl Harbor. He said that it has taken him all his life to forget and he wasn't about to start remembering now. Your pain is over now Ed. Be at peace.

Sorry for your loss, I think these words though not my own are very appropriate.

"Take what they have left and what they have taught you with their dying and keep it your own. And in that time when men decide and feel safe to call war insane, take one moment to embrace those gentle heroes you left behind."
