9 Soldiers Wounded in Action Around Baghdad
BAGHDAD, Iraq - Nine U.S. Soldiers were wounded in several incidents around Baghdad May 23.
Four Soldiers were wounded in attacks that used improvised explosive devices. Four Soldiers were wounded by a mortar attack on a military facility on the eastside of Baghdad. One Soldier was wounded by small arms fire when anti-Iraqi forces attacked an Iraqi police station in northeast Baghdad.
The wounded were evacuated to medical treatment facilities. Two of the wounded were treated and returned to duty.
