Although im a huge F-14 Tomcat lover, I still think it was/is worth navalising the F-15 Eagle over the F/A-18 Superhornet. Not so much for vanity but the F-15 is a 'Heavy Fighter' like the Tomcat was, The fact it formed the basis of the F-22 Raptor, Capable of carrying more ordnance(The Strike Eagle), Better to run/maintain and has better manouverabilies during flight. Sure it could as the F-111 and C-130 still managed to land on the carrier decks.

It has also been exported to a few foreign countries and serves better as an Interceptor, We might need them since Russian TU-95s have been loitering the skies again.

As the F-15 already has a tailhook, Im sure it is possible for the F-15 to be used on carriers as it is.

solafsolafsolaf Oh ya! I've seen some bad photoshopping but that pix is really baddly cobbled together. Useing scissors and cellotape would have been more convincing. laughsol;laughsol;laughsol;

No it didn't you fool.

has better manouverabilies during flight.

Than the Hornet? I don't think so.

Yes, its lack of folding wings, catapult attachment points and carrier landing systems would be no problem at all.

Is there NO field of military operations immune from your idiotic fantasies?

I was an F/A-18 Plane captain in the USMC back in the 80's... The F-15 would have to have it's landing gear and tail hook beefed up a whole lot to operate from carriers, and would need folding wings.... It could be done but it wouldn't be a simple fix! All fighters I know of have a tail hook( at least modern ones) but if you've ever seen them up close you would see that naval a/c tail hooks are beefier than air force planes like the F-15.
