I apologize for being one day late in posting this.

Yesterday, Tuesday, October 23, 2007, hundreds of people converged on the Beirut Memorial, here at Camp Lejeune, N.C., to remember Marines, sailors and soldiers killed 24 years ago in what was then the most serious terrorist act against the United States.
The annual ceremony honors the 241 service members killed October 23, 1983, when a truck bomb rammed into the Marine barracks in Beirut, as well as those who participated in the 1958 Beirut landing and similar missions in 1905, 1976 and 2006. Marine casualties on October 23, 1983 were 220 killed and 70 wounded, with 21 other American servicemen also dead. This is the highest one-day death toll in the Corps since World War II.
Major General Robert Dickerson, Commander of Marine Corps Installations-East, will deliver this year's address. The ceremony began at 10:30 a.m.
The Marine Corps League held a wreath-laying ceremony at 2 p.m. at the Beirut Marker at Camp Geiger.

PAY-BACK ! Live by the sword, die by the sword.
Reported on 2-14-2008 that Imad Mughniyeh, leader of Hezbollah, was killed with a car bomb in Damascus, Syria. He is considered by the United States as the architect of the attack against the Marine barracks in Beirut, Lebanon in 1983 and as such has been sought after ever since. We Marines have always wanted to assist him with meeting his maker. Hezbollah was responsible for killing more Americans than any other terrorist group until al-Qaida reared its ugly head and the demise of this man can only hurt them tremendously and help us in our war against international terrorism. I'm sure there are many people in the Arab world right now vowing revenge on America and what they tend to forget is that we Americans, especially we Marines, also make vows and we also feel honor-bound to search, find and destroy those who inflict death and destruction on us.
