Are these Troops as good as the French Foreign Legion?, The links below say the basic training is 4 months but CARNAGE and rumours of recruits undergoing it have DIED.

I think the training can be as tough as French Legion, difference is, you have to be native Spanish speaker in order to join La Legion. Wikipedia again has more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_Legion sal;

Service of foreigners in the Spanish Legion ended in 1986, but was re-opened to citizens of countries belonging to the EU a few years ago, however those enlisting must take Spanish nationality.
