I am constructing a biographical study of Colonel Graham Thomson Lyall, VC. He arrived in North Africa in September 1940 but I cannot identify the unit to which he was posted.

In June 1941 he was posted to No 2 Base Ordnance Workshop at Tel-el-Kabir, just east of Cairo.

In October he was appointed Commanding Officer of 87th Lines of Communications at the railhead at Mihseifa. The unit was in support of XIII Corps.

He died of heart failure late in November during Operation Crusader.

Any photos, maps or other info greatly appreciated.

Thanks
