Thanks for the photos. I have always enjoyed visiting military museums in my travels. I was at Ft Campbell last Nov. and enjoyed visiting their museum. Sadly as usual, I did not take any photos. Great Photos, again, Thanks.

I just came home from the Camp Shelby 90th birthday and retirement day bash and brought back some photos that I took.



Hey, I have an uncle who went thru Camp Shelby in 1914, with the Mississippi State Militia, now the National Guard. I am researching his military background, but the time of 1914-1917, on his military records only says Mississippi State Militia, and that this group was somehow involved in the Mexican Campaign against Panch Villa.

In 1917, it shows him leaving the Militia and going into the regular army, so I have everything from 1917 on. I have tried contacting the Mississippi Natl Guard, but they don't seem to have a clue as to how one would find info this old.

My question to you is, since you were there at Camp Shelby, do you know anything about the old records of men who passed thru there? Might you have any written material that might help me in researching this relaltive?

You can check with Chad Daniels. He's over the museum and should be on top of all the records. Other than that, I don't know. Good luck. For everybody else, I 've just had a major crash and I've lost everything. HELP, please.:mad:
