Who in the right head would dare to fire one of these?, Wouldnt it destroy yourself as well as the enemy?. Besides, whats the point of it?.

This is not a military arm, and has no military purpose.
It has two points: extreme long-range handgun target shooting, and Just Because You Can.
I have fired 7.62 mm NATO handguns, without muzzle brakes, and they were manageable. The large muzzle brake present on every model of 50 BMG handgun I have seen will tame the recoil to manageable proportions, although I'm not sure I would like to fire too many rounds in a string.
By the way, the nuke 50 was a real 50 BMG pistol, it was only the ammunition that was spoofed.
