This is the story of a young man from a small country village in Ireland, who emigrated to the USA in 1957 at the age of twenty. He was called up for national service in 1958 for two years, and remained in the US military and reached the rank of Captain in 1967. He died 3 months in to his tour of duty on the battlefields of south vietnam, while commanding his company in recce in force mission near Thu Duc, north east of Saigon in May 1968.

Thank you for bringing your uncle's story to our attention. He will always be remembered by both his native country and his adopted country.
