No problem, the other questions is there a preference form North or South? Early war years Vs Later war years.
Also the History Channel has had some programs on Gen. Sherman, interesting considering the "Southern view of him Vs Fact.
A book you might like, "A Southerner's View of the War" by William Pollard. He was the editor to the Richmond Journal during the war.
Gen. Grant is another person where the political myths are not consistent with fact. He was falsely accused of being a drunkard during the war. The Senator who pushed his approval for leadership had a Naval officer assigned to his staff who as a staunch prohibitionist. Also Pres. Lincoln famous comment about "find what ever grant is drinking and serve it to my other Generals".
Gen. Meade is another good choice, his reason why he choose not to pursue the ANV after the battle of Gettysburg.
Naval History, The Merrimac was the Northern name, the south called it?
Also there are books on interesting facts of the war.
