I just finnished reading The Wild Blue: The Men and Boys Who Flew the B-24s over Germany,.. DAMM fine read.. I never knew that the B-24 was the most produced Bomber ever.

any Ambrose book is a excllent read

It would make a great movie... but only one thing.. out of the 22.000 B-24's built only 4 are left.. I think only 1 is still flying and one is getting retored in Sydney Au.
The Auzzie flew them againt Japan.

just reading D Day, Ambrose doesn't think much of us Brits as soldiers does he?

He also never mentions the Canadian participation as well in some of his books
