WO2 Michael 'Mick' Smith, aged 39, died on Thursday 8 March 2007 from injuries sustained when a grenade was fired at the UK base in Sangin, Helmand Province. WO2 Michael Smith was from 29 Commando Regiment Royal Artillery in Afghanistan. My thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends.
