This is not a military item but is a tribute to a man called Fred Dibnah with a song by the Lancashire folk singers ‘Fivepenny Piece’ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0vLjbuXoCM
Fred was born in the same town as me and we both lived in the same area. Though Fred was a year older than me. I went into the army before Fred as I enlisted in 1956 and Fred was called up to do his National Service the following year.

When Fred was awarded the MBE, he drove the 200 miles from Bolton in Lancashire to Buckingham Palace in London in his steam road roller which travels at about 10 miles an hour.
