Help with project

Hello,

I am new here and have been viewing your forum for several days in search of some information for my 8th grade son's History project that is due on Monday and we are really struggling trying to find out any information regarding a certain event and was wondering if any of you could either help us and/or direct us to the proper location for this information please?

His project is :

June 8, 1941, Allies invade Syria and Lebanon

We have searched and searched and searched but can only seem to come up with timelines and nothing actually pertaining to that day in an event sequence. Can anyone direct us to a site or does anyone have any information on a book/encyclopedia that we can get to help with this?

We really appreciate any and all help you can provide for us.
