I think as a country we learned after Viet-Nam. During the 1st Gulf war, many people were very vocal on Support our Troops, regardless of what you think of the war.

I guess you missed Kerry's remarks on the Men and Women of the US military. “You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”
