The compass that saw Lawrence of Arabia "safely across the wilderness" and
his watch and cigarette case were sold at auction today for more than 15
times their estimated value.
The lot of artefacts once owned by the explorer were given an estimated
value of between £12,000 and £16,000 in the run up to today's sale at
Christie's in London.
