My boots and my pack. We called it a doggie pack, because it came from the Army.

My belt, Doesn't fit anymore, I was down to 125 pounds when I left RVN, and a Division sweatshirt.

I have a picture of my Bush hat, My daughter is modeling it the two different ways we wore them, Seems like today people just flop them on. We formed ours. Maybe later.

No pics but I have a 1911 holster with a groove worn into the leather on the inside of the flap from the times I had to carry cocked and locked. I also brought home a Ho Tai about 3 " tall made of elephant ivory. These are usually called Buddhas by westerners. The real Buddha was skinny these guys are good luck figurines of a seated, chubby round faced guy. They were sold as tourist items at marble Mountain in Danang. My unit was far from a supply line and I gave almost everything else including my zippo to the guys in the platoon.
The zippo had most of it's chrome plating worn off from being in my dirty pocket while I walked all over Nam.
I was 196th Light Infantry but I know the 3rd MAF was right there in Danang. I spent part of Tet Offensive hiding out in the Freedom Hill R&R facility with some very good marines.
