Foundation - Module 1

Week 1
Joining Routine, Gym and Swimming Assessment, kit Issue, Maths and English Tests, Admin, Drill and Physical Training.
Week 2
Excercise First Step (One Night in the Field), Drill, Physical Training, personal Admin, close quarter Combat
Week 3
Weapon Training, Drill, Physical training and families Day.


Individual Skills - Module 2

Week 4
Weapon Training, Physical Training and Swim, Drill and Corps History.
Excercise Early Night (Night in Field with weapon)


This is my Nephews progress to date, I have the complete Iternary and will post more as he completes it.

He is doing very well at the moment and he is in good spirits.

Week 5
Weapon Training (including weapon handling tests), Physical training and runs, map reading, Exercise Quick Cover (3 day exercise including Basic Fieldcraft and close quarter battle)

Starts week six on Monday
Week Six

First Aid, Rifle Shoot, Physical Training, Map reading

At Camp and 40 Cdo RM.

Spoke to him yesterday and he is doing very well and he says he is "LOVIN IT!" which I am very pleased about.

Dont have a son , but if I had a choice? he would be at the very top of my list COME ON PAUL !! we are right behind you my boy

Good for him mate! This timetable is pleasant looking and, in places, it looks as if someone might break into a sweat! The truth however is of course much more "robust" - I rather like the idea of "Gym and Swimming Assessment" - I remember doing mine in the Sigs and that was not particularly pleasant and I'm a brill swimmer!!!(Y)

I definately couldnt do it now, might have even struggled back in the day ?

I was wondering why I hadn't seen him on here for quite awhile. Are the British Commandos the same as our Rangers? Are they parachute qualified? Looking forward to hearing more about his progress. Tell him we're all proud of him, Andy.

Thanks Frisco I will definately pass on your comments.
I believe they do have to be parachute trained but that may come later as a specialist training course, not sure , leave it with me I will find out at what stage they do it.
