ABF searches for eye-catching Christmas Card image for 2006:

Have you had your Christmas photos developed yet? Apart from the usual blurred shots, are there any pictures that you're quite proud of? If so, the Army Benevolent Fund is looking for suitable images of soldiers at Christmas to feature on one of its charity Christmas Cards this year.

Whether the photos were taken on exercise in Bavaria or Pen-y-fan or show Christmas in a snowy Catterick or a sunny Basrah, the ABF is interested in any pictures of soldiers taken in a Christmas setting.

The competition is open to all ranks of the Regular Army, Territorial Army and the Army Cadet Force.

The winning photograph will appear on an Army Benevolent Fund Christmas Card that will be on sale from August this year.

All proceeds from the sale of the card will go directly towards helping soldiers, former soldiers and their families - so you really will be doing something worthwhile by entering this competition. The winner will also receive a digital camera, courtesy of NAAFI, and a case of Cobra Beer. Two runners-up will each receive a case of Cobra Beer.

The competition closing date is May 5.

For information on how to enter the competition, please go to the Army Benevolent Fund's website:

Good luck to those that choose to enter!
