Image sizes

Andy, tried to upload an album of some Nazi-era stamps, but got a message saying that image size must be a minimum of 400x300?

Because they're small to begin with, if I increase the images to fit that size, some get distorted and can't be seen at their best. Any way around this? :confused:

I have had to instigate a minimum image size because I will be implementing a watermark on all our images in the near future and anything less than those dimensions looks a bit daft and is almost covered by the watermark.

One way to do it , is to upload them to another host such as Photobucket,I personally have uploaded German stamp images to my own free server space SEE HERE (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/wozzer1534/index.htm) and posted the link in a thread.

Alternatively and probably a lot easier is to attach them to your thread which effectively uploads them to our server but they reside within the forums not the galleries. Thing is you can only do 5 at a time

That makes so much sense that maybe even muggins will manage to upload images successfully... here's hoping...:rolleyes:

Thats exactly what I mean mate.
If the images are big enough though, just put them into the galleries. Dont forget you can create an Album with us too and provide the link on any forum as you have done here. solthum
