For anyone travelling to the far north this summer, Fort George is very much worth a visit. Fort George is a huge 40 acre mid-18th century fortress which was built post Culloden and still serves as the Highland Garrison currently housing 1st Bn. RIR.
Ft. George is the spiritual home of the Seaforths and Camerons, and is thus the home of The Queens Own Highlanders Museum.
