I recently read a thread on another site which was basically a young lad who had found his Grandfathers Old Foot Locker and decided to share the contents with the sites members. The Poster actually posted pics of the footlocker starting with it unopened and then of its contents.
It was a fantastic thread and I found myself eager to read the next entries.

If anybody has a collection of things left by their Fathers or indeed any other relative, I wonder if they would like to do something similar.

Unfortunately all my ancestors who fought in WWI and WWII are very distant and I have no idea where to find them.

Just a thought.

I'm trying to put something together about my wife’s grandfather, he was sergeant flight engineer on 149 Sqn and was sadly kill on his 9th mission in 1943, I have already posted images of his flight log (http://www.militaryimages.net/photopost/showphoto.php/photo/5569/cat/603)and I'm now decoding all the mission data. I hope to post it very soon.
