World war 2 was the revolution in Military aircraft development. The Nazi's, desperately trying to clear the skies and terrorize london during the closing years of the war, introduced a radical, but deadly effective new concept: The Jet bomber. While ME-262's(a beutiful jet) could carry small bomb loads, The Arado AR-234 would be the last of germanys bombers built in the war. With a max speed of 461 mph (742km/h for u guys across the pond) the "blitz" was an amazingly effective, yet simple design. While, as with all of the nazi's wonder fighters, the 234 was in too short supply to cause great panic, yet no allied fighter could intercept it during its pinpricks through British air defences. It was also one of the few aircraft from either side to support the Batlle of The Bulge in the last months and january 1944-1945. MORE LATER in My NEXT SIGN ON

It didnt have much impact on the war but it had a lot of influence in future aircraft design.

I don't quite understand this sentence ..... Allied air power was plentiful and very affective during the Battle of the Bulge ... here's a good read on the use of Allied air power and the short comings of the Luftwaffe

Uh sorry bill but i may sound a little rude but where ever that sentence is from it isn't true. For almost the entire battle, Almost no air support was availabe due to poor weather (cloud cover, fog) and the support they did get usually had no effect.

Any way for the last on the 234. An interesting fact on the old bird was that the pilot was also the bombadier, which eliminated the weight for extra crew. Despite its short service, the Blitz was described as a great flyer. The last sortie was a recon mission over britian in 1945. While it had little effect in the tide of the war, its design and innovations have influence current day bomber design
