I've been clearing out a few things at home, and I came across a book that I read a year or so ago (seems more like a lifetime ago).
It's a non-fiction military history book written by Kate Adie, and I can warmly recommend reading it.
"A vivid history of ordinary women and their extraordinary deeds through two world wars and beyond."
"She reveals the way the press and society throughout the twentieth century and up to the present day have viewed uniformed women, and for the first time illuminates the experiences and attitudes of women themselves."
