Hello everyone,

Thought I should probably give you some background on myself.

I've no connection with the military, apart from growing up in a family that knows military personnel of all ranks in many European countries.

I've always had a great respect for anyone choosing a military career and I whole-heartedly believe that 'national service' is good for any country.

Since forever I've been interested in the military (everything!) but I won't pretend I fully understand what it's like or that I know anything other than what I've been told by people serving, which of course would be their subjective views anyway.

I will try not to post too much (can you tell I like to write yet... ;) ) and will try to read as much as possible before I open my mouth. If I don't stick to this, feel free to remind me... :)

Oh, and I'm a woman, just in case that wasn't entirely clear.

Take care,
ArcticWolf

First of all welcome arcticwolf.
It is not a pre requisite (I think I spelt that right) to have been or know a lot about the military, only that you have an interest, whatever level of knowledge you are. We have very few ladies en board and I can speak for all of us when I say, You are truly welcome here.

Bill
You are absolutely right solthum

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

I'm still learning the ropes here... still have some bad habits with me from a forum I've now quit, so please be patient with me.

This forum has greatly impressed me so far; it's so organised and the quality of posts and images are very high. Oh, and everyone is so nice and polite.

Cyber-Hugs from ArcticWolf

PS Who cares about the spelling, it's the heart in the man that matters.
