Three ministers who were friends were also frequent fishing buddies. One was Baptist, one Lutheran and the other a Catholic Priest.
They were sitting today about 30 feet from shore in their small fishing boat.
After fishing and chatting for some time the Baptist decided he need to tend the call of nature and got up, stepped out of the boat and walked ashore. The priest was impressed by the sight of his friend "walking on water." But he didn't let on that he had seen anything unusual. Soon his Baptist friend returned as he had left. Shortly the Lutheran got up and informed them he would be back in a minute, and he too walked the 30 feet to shore hardly wetting his shoe soles. By now the priest was nearly beside himself.
The Lutheran returned...and by that time the priest was determined that if they could walk on water. So could he. So saying to himself, the Lord will show the way...he stepped off the boat into 10 feet of water. His friends dragged him dripping back on board. The priest tried it again. This time the Baptist said to his Lutheran friend...you think we should tell him where the Steping stones are.
