Can anyone help me, I'm trying to find any information about German Military Factorys or works in the town of Neunkirchen, south of Wien in Austria.I think that there may have been an aircraft factory linked to the local railway network. Any help would be grateful. Thanks

Found this

05/27/44
Eighth AF
923 B-17's and B-24's bomb M/Ys, aircraft industries, and A/F at Ludwigshafen, Mannheim, Karlsruhe, Konz-Karthaus, Neunkirchen, Saarbrucken, Lachen/Speyerdorf, Strasbourg, and Woippy. Coastal batteries at Fecamp and Saint-Valeryen-Caux also are bombed. Opposition is heavy and 24 HBs are lost on mission.

I have also found references to an aircraft parts factory at Neunkirchen and some very vague reference to a rail system.

Again, thanks. That link is excellent, I use the site a lot.Adding to my request, does anyone have a link to a site with imagery, I have over 200 prints taken during a recce sortie in 1944 over the area and I wish to compare target areas.

I couldnt find any imagery but did find a large number of references to the bombing of the marshalling yards, i presume this relates to the railway.
Other references refer to chemical and aircraft part factories (Y)

the imagery I have does show some rail yards and a lot of factories, once I get some info on the area, I will be uploading it to my site.
