Land Army veterans hope a new memorial to their work in WWll will relieve some of the disappointment felt at being omitted from post-war honours.
Veterans who worked in Essex, Cambs, Suffolk and Norfolk are holding a reunion at Easton College near Norwich.
Organisers said that many felt bitter that nurses and other civilians working for the war effort received medals and financial rewards but they did not.
