Can anyone tell me what 'Reputation points' are?
I found by clicking on the scales at the top right of a post.

Thanks

Hi buddy
Reputation points are a way that all users can keep other users in line. It is possible to cast a vote on another persons post, the more reputation points a voter has the more harm or good you do to the reputation of that user.
there are certain safeguards in place that stop people from destroying anothers reputation intentionally and for no reason, such as not being able to post negative reputation to a poster more than once in a certain period of time, there are more but I will keep them secret for now, hee hee camo;

Its a good system and is difficult to abuse, the more positive your reputation level the more powerful you are.

As I said its a safeguard against people who would try and post posts that are well abusive but not to the point where I would just ban them straight away etc etc.

Its also a way that other users can reward, other users for posting interesting discussion.

All will be more clear as you use the system.bou;
