Got this off a Beta 1 information site so as far as beta 1 is concerned this is what the system requirements are I imagine it will remain like this.
1.5 GIG CPU
512 MB RAM
6 GIG Hard Drive or higher
DirectX 9 Compliant Video Card eg, Nvidia Geforce FX5200 or higher Recommended Geforce 6 or higher - for best performance or ATi Direct X 9 Compliant Video cards.
Hope this helps anyone who is thinking of upgrading to 'Vista' next year what their PC's will have to be capable of doing !
