Rather than post several lots of individual topics concerning different tips and tricks (as I call them) as well as tutorials I thought it would be better just adding all of them in one sticky topic.

You'll find a list of all the topics below that I have published in the knowledgebase section of this very cool site. More will be added as I can add them If you have any requests for a tutorial on some thing or a 'how to do' article just let me know ;)

Windows 98 Section

(Sorry nothing yet)

Windows XP Section

Burning a CD with Windows XP (http://www.militaryimages.net/articles/index.php?article=22)
Change the default image editor for Windows Fax viewer (http://www.militaryimages.net/articles/index.php?article=25)
How to do a clean install of Windows XP (http://www.militaryimages.net/articles/index.php?article=24)
Locking your desktop (http://www.militaryimages.net/articles/index.php?article=27)
Finding my IP address (http://www.militaryimages.net/articles/index.php?article=26)
Disabling Windows Messenger (http://www.militaryimages.net/articles/index.php?article=28)

More to follow :)

Any comments - please leave them in this topic !

Great stuff Icat, glad to see you are using the Knowledge base.:)
Your input is very important, mainly because to get the content from some of the older and less IT literate members, they will need the help of people with your expertise.
Including me ;)

I'm glad to help out with this forum.

Theres always a need to understand how to use your PC for some thing. If people find the articles useful then its a job worth doing !

if you typed in in the banner by screensavers "i love nt" something else would appear on the screen...

find the file SYSOC.INF and replace all HIDE with a space... then add/remove and see what changed from your windows components...
