In 2002, I achieved a personal lifelong ambition to visit some of the 'Market-Garden' battleground sites. I have been interested in this particular operation since I was a boy. My son arranged a trip there for him and I, as a retirement present. We visited a few of the museums, all of which are first class.
One in particular that I would highly recommend was the National War and Resistance Museum, Overloon:

The museum is situated in a park, which was part of the ground fought over in the battle for Overloon, Sept-Oct '44. There are a large amount of vehicles, armour, artillery and weapons on display, both outside and within the exhibition halls. They even have a complete Mitchell bomber in the main hall, with a Spitfire and a Harvard trainer hanging from the roof above! When I was there, they had a stripped-down Panther which was being restored too.
Unfortunately, I had with me a brand-new digi camera that I wasn't yet familiar with, so I had used up most of the memory card elsewhere and only got a few shots inside. I've tried to upload one showing me inside the main hall, with a Dodge 3/4-ton Weapons Carrier and a Canadian Otter Reconnaissance Vehicle beyond that.
