A Royal Marine executed by the Germans after a World War II "Cockleshell" raid on enemy ships is to be honoured.
Brian Mills, of Kettering, Northamptonshire, will accept a commemorative medallion in honour of his brother Bill's bravery in 1942.
Cockleshell canoes were used by Bill and nine comrades to mine and destroy enemy ships in Bordeaux harbour.
Only two crews survived to complete the raid but Bill was captured and killed when escaping through enemy territory.
His brother is accepting a commemorative bronze medallion in honour of his brother's wartime bravery during the ill-fated Operation Frankton.
