Headed back to Nam 12NOV05-25NOV05. I went back for the first time since the war in APR/MAY03. Going back again to see some of the places I haven't been yet.
How about it RW? Let's do a recon of the Mekong Delta. It's not the dangerous place you remember, Bud. I'll guarantee you a good time, and that no one will shoot at you. Seriously, I would love to have you join Kath and I. Of coarse, bring your better half. Anyone else up for going?
I'd love to get a guided tour by you guys but the other half'll put the kibosh on that for sure, so plenty of pictures fellas!

I could be hopefull of a pass to go witcha buddies. Cant promise anything but that sounds like and excellent idea. :)
Man Frisco, this sounds good, but as a school teacher a couple of weeks off in November might be using more collateral then I have access to, but I will check out the logistics. Who knows, I might get fired before then.

ZOFO: The way around that is to bring her with you. She'll love ya for it after a moon-lit walk on a beautiful white sand beach that you have all to yourselves; going back to your comfortable, air conditioned room with the grand view of the South China Sea from your private balcony; and giving her a handful of Dong [not THAT dong, you dog. Vietnamese money] big enough to choke a water buffalo [about $50 worth] and tell her, "Here, Honey. Shop 'til you drop."
ANDY: Keep me posted. If you've ever thought of treating yourself to an Asian vacation, this is a good one. They are still in the early stages of developing their tourism. Most of their beach front hotels are new. As nice as anything I've stayed at in Mexico or Hawaii, and costing $25-50/day including a GREAT buffet breakfast.
RW: This would be SOOO great if you could make this work. Does your school system knock off for a week anyway for Thanksgiving? As a History teacher, you could say your doing some research for future History class curriculum. You were a paratrooper and a Green Beret; adapt; be creative; dazzle them with BS.
Make it happen, Boys.

Got back last Friday. It was GREAT! Still unpacking, getting photos downloaded and developed, internal clock still not right. I'll give a description of the trip when I'm right again. I did send some posts into Patriot Files during the trip as the opportunity arose. Take a peek if interested.
Welcome home Tom, looking forward to the pics.
