It is with very great sadness that I report the death of Cpl Miles Bastable, a RAF Photographer. Miles worked for me during my tour in Northern Ireland and at various other Units, he was a bright and very jolly personnel, always with a smile on his face.
For reasons only known to Miles, he took his own life on Tuesday evening. He has left his wife, parents and a Photographic trade in very deep shock. We all are going to miss this young man and hope that he has now found piece.
