As mere mortals of course we cannot add anything to "Administrator Posts" so I'd like to quickly open a thread here to say thank you to Himself for keeping things on a nice even keel and to everybody else for being bang on and no nonsense!
I was "recruited" from one of the "slanging" type sites and had only been registered for about three days when I was attacked for no reason other than I disagreed with someone (the someone hadn't served, I had; experience 1, know it all 0!).
Anyway, this is a great place to be and it enables me to share my interests as well as see what everyone else is into. Where else do you get friendly banter around the world? Lots of experience, lots of knowledge and simply the best photos on the net.
Webmaster, Viking and everyone else, there's virtual money in the bar!!

You do not know how comments like that warm the cockles of my heart zofo, its nice to hear them. And contrary to popular belief, this mere mortal takes a lot of encouragement from comments like that.

By the way zofo, not all threads within the Regimental order section are out of reach, I believe you could have posted a reply to my comments. Unless I have gotten it wrong?.

Thanks again mate and im glad you feel comfartable and at home here. :D

Seeing as we may have visitors and such like, I'll PM you with it!
To be honest I don't know whether I could have replied to your last; I tried once on another of the threads which gave me the message I started off with. As a result (and being a lazy bugger), I thought I'd use this forum - easier to notice as well being a new thread!!

My 2 cents worth, :D

In my limited experiance with forums, I've seen that you will get trouble makers on all of em from time to time. Ususally they get bored and leave of their own accord. Back about 2 or 3 years ago there was a veterans forum on the History Channel site. It seemed that the moderators pretty much ignored the flamers. They would come in and blast the vets with all kinds of garbage. I personally think that they only do it to get a reaction. And reaction they got. They would get booted ocassionally but come back with a different name. You could always tell them by their writing style. Soon they would get booted again. At first it was kinda fun to tell em off and make fun of em. That seemed to encourage them though. To make a long story short, the result of all that was that most of us moved over to Patriotfiles. And now to here too. It is inevitable, I think, that eventually some of those flamer types will find this place too. But I think the moderators here are more dedicated to keeping it a fun and informative place. As with any group of people or friends, after a while you run out of new things to say. At least I do. Then I tend to just lurk and look for something interesting.

Ok, off my very short soapbox and on the pub. Somebody has money on the bar and I'm thirsty. :D

I agree the most determined trouble makers will return, we do have methods in place to block host names, ip addresses and such like. I can assure you that myself and viking will do everything in our power to oust the would be trouble makers and keep this site the pleasant and friendly place we have come to know. :P

And as I tried to say, I have every confidence that you will succeed.

Must be about my turn to set em up for you and Viking, eh?:D
