Tis a story , when I was on HMS Fearless in the early '70s (engine room Mech 1) The first time I was duty watch whilst the ship was alongside but still had all the machinery running , my mate said "lets hope it's quiet this evening, I wanna watch the film" . I jokingly replied "pigs might fly".
Of course the inevitable happened , halfway through the film the lights went out and the ship became very silent.
Once we had got everything running again my mate said "you and you big mouth !!"I replied I didnt see any flying pigs and he said " it must have been a black one" .. it stuck !!!!
