More than 60 part-time soldiers from the South West depart for peacekeeping duties in Iraq on Thursday.
The Territorial Army infantrymen from the Rifle Volunteers have undergone weeks of training in readiness for their six-month tour of duty.
An advance group left for Iraq at the weekend, but the main party leaves battalion headquarters at Wyvern Barracks in Exeter.
They will be linked to First Battalion the Cheshire Regiment.
