to celebrate this i have though of a quiz question with a difference.
there is one word linking all answers, i want the the full names of the items, for a massive 1000, yes 1000 points.
1) A World war II Aircraft
2) A World war II Gun

Miles Monitor, used by the Fleet Air Arm.
Browning Monitor light automatic rifle.
Monitor class of ships, simply a floating platform with one or more big guns.
So the word is 'Monitor'
:?: :?:
Derrick.

O.K., D_P, how about these ?
Hawker Hurricane.
German 20mm AA. gun called Wirbelwind (Whirlwind).
H.M.S. Tornado. (WW1 destroyer)
The link word would then be 'Winds'
:?: :?:
Derrick.
The British had two monitors, Abercrombie and Roberts, available in WWII, built after WWI, one of them using guns from an earlier monitor. I think it would be safe to say monitors were available in WWI.
