I haven't had a chance to post much lately, as I've been up to my arse in alligators getting ready for vacation next week. Been puting in extra time at work so it'll take care of itself while I'm gone. We're pulling out as soon as we can get away tomorrow afternoon. We're driving.

We're heading for the Evergreen State, Washington. First going to Spokane, on the eastside of the state until about Tues., and then to the westside on the Olympic Penninsula. My wife is from Spokane and we lived there, off and on, for many years after getting out of the Army. Both kids were born there. We'll be visiting relatives and old friends while there.

On the westside I'll be hanging out with some Vietnam Vets from the Patriot Files. This will include DMZ LT. [John] and EXLRRP [James], both of whom post on here from time to time. John, and fellow vet Sid, will be flying from Atlanta. James lives near me, and we see each other often. There are 3 other PF vets that live in WA that will be there. We're all going salmon fishing on a charter boat next Thurs.. I'll take lots of pictures. I'll post as often as I can while I'm gone. Later, boys and girls.

Yeh, I'll bet we're talking a remake of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" here.

I'm back!

Survived the trip and took me a week to get work straightened out, and rested up. Alot of driving. It was great, though. Especially on the westside, with the other Vets. Some of them I had met before, but was great to put a face to a couple of more. The fishing was good, but the comraderie was GREAT. I posted alot of pictures over on the Pat Files, if interested. I'll post some of the fishing pictures here soon.

If you guys ever get a chance to do this, DO IT! Andy, don't you and Tosh live near each other? Meet for a beer. Or better yet, organize something for all of you. Britain isn't as big as the States; how hard could it be? Many of us on the Pat Files have done this for a few years, either one-on-one or as a group. Some of the most fun you'll have with all your clothes on, garaunteed.
