Just received this book from amazon. Had a quick flick through and the author seems to make comparisons with the soldiers of Homers Illiad and vietnam vets suffering PTSD.
Looking forward to getting stuck into it.

An interesting couple of lines from the book


If Military practice tells soldiers that their emotions of love and grief-which are inseparable from their humanity-do not matter, then the civilian society that has sent them to fight on their behalf should not be shocked by their "inhumanity" when they try to return to civilain life.
